Kevin and Bai Bin still covering 70km or more per day at the moment. Less than 1,000km to go on the epic journey. The team enjoyed camping in Wuwei Zoo yesterday and felt like the most interesting exhibit with many visitors staring at us and taking photos. No-one tried to feed us any peanuts though. Our beautiful campsite yesterday is in stark contrast to tonight’s wasteland next to a police station in Gulan, such is the expedition life. Joined by Richard and Sean last night for some lovely red wine and moon cakes. Richard quotes: “I feel like I’m back on holiday with university classmates. The team seems to have more energy and there’s a good atmosphere. I think the expedition team’s purpose is much more concrete now – the goal is very clear, to get to the end.”
